Does Fiorina Know That "Probably" Isn't An Option in the U.S. Senate?Today GOP Senate hopeful Carly Fiorina semi-flip-flopped and said that she would "probably" vote to extend unemployment benefits. "I probably would vote for this extension..," Fiorina told a San Francisco radio station. That's big of the fired CEO of HP, who received something along the lines of a $24 million package to get out of Dodge by the company. But "probably" isn't an option on the floor of the U.S. Senate. You either vote yes or no -- or you don't vote at all. (Come to think of it, given Fiorina's spotty record of showing up to vote, that last option is the one she'd probably take most often).
"For so many weeks, more than 200,000 Californians have been waiting desperately for this bill to help them through these tough times, and for weeks, Carly Fiorina has said no to these California families," said Boxer's campaign manager, Rose Kapolczynski. Posted by: Bob Mulholland on July 22, 2010Fiorina, as CEO of HP, probably did not use the words "probably laid off" when she sent Pink Slips to 28,000 American HP employees and told them in her cold way- file for unemployment. And she probably did not use the words "probably buy" when she bought 2 jets, using HP money, for her private use.
On the other hand, in 2005 the HP Board of Directors probably did not use the words "probably fired" when they told Fiorina that she was fired for her arrogance and incompetence.
And we can probably assume the reason Fiorina is running for the US Senate is for the last 5 years no one in the private sector has hired her, after they call her last employer (HP) and get an earful.
