Political junkies from around the state (incuding yours truly) will gather at UC Berkeley today and Saturday for the premiere political event of the year: the Institute of Governmental Studies-sponsored review of the 2006 Governor's race.
If you haven't been to one of these before, don't miss it. It's a chance to hear the minds behind the campaigns — both primary and general election — reveal their secrets and strategies.
Friday's sessions will focus on the primary; Saturday's on the general elections. Pollsters and pundits also will share their views. (See the entire program here).
We'll be reporting on a few of the highlights here on the California Majority Report. But if you're in the neighborhood, try to drop in. It's free and no RSVP is required.
